Argyle Lofts
A 1919 Edwardian bread factory on Dovercourt, heritage-designated and converted to 86 hard lofts in 2007.
Overview & history
The Ideal Bread Company opened the building as a commercial bakery, and its brick Edwardian Classical frontage is protected under the Ontario Heritage Act. The conversion kept exposed brick and open floor plates, with ceilings reported at 12 to 16.5 feet and some two-storey suites.
Suites run from about 485 to 1,800 square feet. On market data the building trades mostly as one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms, with a handful of penthouses.
