A 1950s church hall on Claremont Street converted in 1996 into thirteen loft condominiums.
Overview & history
The building was the parish hall of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, a Slovak Roman Catholic church whose sanctuary stands next door at 111 Robinson Street and 36 Claremont Street. When the church property was sold and subdivided, the hall became a separate parcel.
Bob Mitchell converted the hall in 1996 into thirteen units. The thick masonry walls were kept; units have maple floors, glass block, slate, fireplaces and ceilings reported up to thirteen feet, with ground-floor suites opening onto garden patios.
