Claremont Lofts
A 1930s assembly and banquet hall north of Queen Street West converted into eight hard lofts around 2000.
Overview & history
The hall opened as a Polish assembly hall and later ran as Casa Do Benfica, a Portuguese banquet hall; blogTO also records a stint as a grunge-era concert venue. It was converted by 62 Claremont Investments Ltd.
The eight units are reported at roughly 1,000 to 2,500 square feet, with vaulted ceilings up to 24 feet, skylights, rooftop terraces and private ground-level garages.
