Movie House Lofts
A former Orange Order hall at College and Euclid, later a repertory cinema, converted into 18 hard lofts in 1998.
Overview & history
The building was put up as the Western District Orange Hall and designed by George Martell Miller, architect of the Gladstone Hotel. A carving of William III of Orange survives on the second floor.
From 1989 to 1993 it ran as the Euclid Theatre for Independent Film and Video, host to the Lesbian and Gay Film and Video Festival, and was briefly the Metropolitan Theatre. Sold under power of sale in 1996, it was converted two years later.
