A former Robert Watson candy factory on Sorauren Avenue converted in 2007, with a new residential building added behind it.
Overview & history
The heavy-timber factory was built for the Robert Watson Company, a confectioner known for scotch mints and Jordan almonds, and later held rental space used by artists. The conversion kept the timber frame, exposed brick and rounded warehouse windows.
A new concrete-framed, brick-clad building was added behind the factory, the two wings enclosing a landscaped courtyard, for 153 units in roughly 140,000 square feet.
