The 1929 Tip Top Tailors factory on the waterfront, converted to 256 condominium lofts and completed in 2006.
Overview & history
Tip Top Tailors built the Art Deco structure in 1929 to designs by Bishop and Miller for manufacturing, warehousing, retail and office use. The City designated it a heritage property in 1972.
Context Development acquired the building in 2002 and converted it with architectsAlliance, adding six residential storeys above. ERA worked on preservation, and the restored Art Deco lobby and the red neon Tip Top sign were kept.
