Urban Church Lofts
A 14-unit conversion of the heritage-designated Dufferin Street Presbyterian Church, built in 1912.
Overview & history
The Neo-Gothic church was designed by W. R. Gregg and designated under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act by City of Toronto by-law 83-2015. Protected features include the corner tower, red brick with stone and wood detailing, the steeply pitched gable roof and the Tudor-arched entrance.
Concept Lofts made 14 units: ten in the church and four two-storey lofts in a new east addition. Units run roughly 600 to 1,750 square feet and some keep the arched wooden trusses. The project is also marketed as Sanctuary Lofts.
