The building went up as a rental apartment house in the Edwardian period, dated to about 1908 to 1912 and originally named the Wellsboro, one of a twinned pair with 414 Jarvis Street, which is still rental. Conversion work started in 1999; several listing sites print 2003, the registration year, as the build year.
There are thirty units over five storeys, from 607 to about 1,100 square feet, with nine-foot ceilings, bay windows and small Juliet-style balconies rather than full ones.
