A five-storey red brick factory built for the Wrigley chewing gum company, converted in 1998 into live/work lofts.
Overview & history
The five-storey red brick building was built for the William Wrigley Jr. Company of Canada, part of a gum-manufacturing complex put up between 1914 and 1919. Wrigley had moved production out by 1963, and Atria Developments converted the building to lofts in 1998.
The building is zoned live/work, and original purchasers bought unfinished space and fitted it out themselves, so floor plans are not repeated. Ceilings are reported between 13 and 16 feet, and sizes range from under 350 square feet to over 3,000.
